Simulation of a dragline operation in an eastern Kentucky mine

A computer simulation model of a dragline has beer, developed for the study of alternative dragline deployment schemes for varying geological and mining conditions. In this paper, the mathematical aspects of the model, the input data and output results are discussed. An application of the model to a coal mine in eastern Kentucky is presented.
