Wood Refuse Burning in the Central Steam Plant Hollinger Mine

CIM Bulletin, 1951

IN ASSEMBLING material for this paper on Wood Refuse Burning turned first to the records of our early studies of the problem in order to learn how and why certain basic decisions were arrived at and also how it came about that the completed central steam plant differed so much from the original plans. It may be of interest, therefore, to outline the engineering problems as they presented themselves in the early part of 1948, and to indicate the economies involved
