During the past decade, geochemical prospecting methods have become important in Canadian mineral exploration. The object of this paper is to discuss the role of geochemical methods in a typical mineral exploration program involving parallel geological and geophysical methods applied at different degrees of intensity. Particular attention is given to the description of the degree of development of geochemical prospecting onder different kinds of local conditions
