The Exploration and Development of Canadian Uranium Deposits

THE development of uranium deposits is a relatively recent phase of mining in Canada. To date, the only producer of uranium ores on a commercial scale has been the Port Radium mine on Great Bear lake, N.W.T. However, within the past few years intensive prospecting •has been carried on throughout Canada and many occurrences of uranium-bearing minerals have been discovered.
