CIM Bulletin, 1964

G. Anders Now Chief Mine Engineer, Mattagami ,Lake Mines Ltd., Mattagami, Que.

The effectiveness of two types of powder used in longwall slashing was compared. The evaluation of the results can serve as a good example of how the application of statistical methods to underground test data can help to minimize the number of tests to be carried out. The conclusions are stated concisely, including a definite assessment of the reliability of the tests.
