Some Recent Observations in Mining Safety

CIM Bulletin, 1950

PROBABL Y the newest thing in mining safety is the apparent dissatisfaction on the part of the mineral industry, as represented by both management and labour, and the general public of many nations in which mining is conducted, with the safety record of the mining industry. This is reflected by published comments in the technical press, in labour periodicals, in popular Journals and periodicals, and in the daily press (5, 11).
