Regional Discussion of the Cardium Formation

The geological history, regional distribution, and variation in character of the Cardium formation are discussed and illustrated by a series of maps and cross-sections. The relationship of the Cardium sand with the Bad Heart sand of the S1pirit River-Grande Prairie area is also discussed and illustrated. The locations of Cardirum oil discoveries are shown in relation to the regional stratigraphic and st11uctural .picture and the 1prospects for future discoveries are indicated.
