Plastic behaviour of salt rock utilized in designing a mining method

Under high pressure in a deep potash mine, the salt rock behaves in accordance with the concept of a generalized, perfectly plastic substance. The paper presents the evidence of this behaviour and engineering concepts for room-and-pillar design.
