Permeabilities of the Athabasca Oil Sands

CIM Bulletin, 1960

The repacked mineral aggregates of good grade oil sands have permeabilities ranging between 15 darcys to 350 millidarcys. The variation is due to the silt contents of the aggregates. Few good grade oil sands contain as much as 30 per cent silt, most of them contain less than 20 per cent, and a large proportion have less than 10 per cent
