Labour-Management Relations

CIM Bulletin, 1972

HON. MARTIN P. O'CONNELL Minister of Labour, Ottawa

IT IS INDEED A PRIVILEGE to address a group representing a sector of the Canadian economy so important as is the mining sector. Important, not only today, but certainly of great importance for the future development of Canada, for employment, for our trade balance and indeed, when one looks at what we are calling increasingly an industrial strategy, for the future. Surely mining will have a very significant role to play in fulfilling that.
