Fire Tests on Untreated and Treated Spruce in Ventilation Doors

CIM Bulletin, 1949

In THE past few years there has been considerable controversy on the most suitable material to be used in ventilation doors which will have to serve also as fire doors. For this reason it was thought useful at McIntyre to find out to what extent our zinc chloride treated spruce doors were fire resistant and what protection we could expect in case of an underground fire.
