This paper describes the planning, development and operation of the Highvale Mine to supply coal to both the existing Sun-dance and the approved Keephills thermal power plants of Calgary Power Ltd. Reference is also made to the company's Whitewood Mine, which feeds the Wabamun thermal plant.
